....At out lowest point some old friends we had known 25 years earlier called on us. I believe it was a divine appointment. During their visit, Anne asked Heather if she would like her to pray for her. Heather said yes. Anne read her Psalm 139 and then asked Heather id she wanted Jesus to come into her life. Heather said yes and then received a laying on of hands A wonderful feeling of peace flooded Heather and her life was transformed.

Not wanting to miss such a blessing I too asked for a prayer and received Jesus as my Lord and Saviour too and I can honestly say our lives have never been the same again. It was as though our eyes had at last been spiritually opened. Suddenly the bible was no longer a dry old book, but the word of God. We had been
Born Again.

You see up until that moment I had never really understood that Jesus had died on the cross so that I could go free; or that His resurrection from the grave was God's confirmation of the fact, His cast iron guarantee of my freedom. Well I received that promise for myself and received God's gift of life eternal. However, praise God it does not stop there. As a Christian, I also have God's help everyday in my life meeting me at my points of need and gradually transforming me into the person He always wanted me to be.

Since that momentous day in 1986, most of our family has received Jesus as their own personal Lord and Saviour. In addition, in 1995 I began a 3-year Church of England course to become a Lay Preacher/Teacher. You see having experienced the good news of Jesus for myself; I now just want to share him with others.
